Initiated by KoFi members Prof. Dr. Uwe Hasebrink, Prof. Dr. Andreas Hepp and Prof. Dr. Wiebke Loosen the upcoming annual conference of the DGPuK will include a workshop for research software in the scientific community.
The special window “Research Software in Communication and Media Studies: Where do we stand? Where do we want to go” is planned for Saturday, May 11th. First, various projects will be briefly presented and afterwards relevant questions about research software and how to deal with it as a professional community will be discussed.
The eleven submissions range from tools for automated data collection and analysis to various web crawlers and additional packages for statistics programs. The MeSort and MeTag applications being developed at ZeMKI will also be represented.
